This track was supposed to be between Nightmare and Delirium. While Nightmare symbolized the fall into nihilism, Dry Blood was supposed to show how it felt to be at the bottom of despair.
Because of the meaning behind it, it was incredibly difficult for me at the time to write it. That's why I eventually made Delirium instead.
But turns out, Dry Blood has been written three times and only once had it been recorded. This is the one you'll be able to hear here - I recorded the chords in the back a while ago. I decided to finally give it closure and record a lead guitar on the top, to give it a "Hurtful Love" vibe (as Hurtful Love tells the same part of my life anyway.)
The rythm guitar isn't perfect at all as it was supposed to be a demo but I didn't want to leave it unfinished and unreleased. And I don't wanna change the chords or structure, out of respect for it as I might not tell the story properly as it's been three years now.
Ohrage's music, although it's in a different genre than mine, always tells a story. The songwriting and arrangements are worth the listen. Eager to see what's coming next from them. Hyrul
